Description
Azalea Manual Tilt-in-Space Wheelchair
The Azalea tilt-in-space wheelchair provides postural support and comfort that are tailored to the individual’s needs and adaptable as these evolve.
The tilt-in-space function ensures the alignment of the spine and limbs remains constant even when the chair is moved between sitting and reclining positions.
Gas pistons make the adjustment of both the 25° seat tilt and 30° backrest recline light and effortless, with pivot points in the chair construction aligning with those of the user to help prevent friction and pressure injury.
The Azalea is also fitted with a unique Dual Stability System (DSS). When the tilt or recline is adjusted, the DSS automatically adjusts the position of the seat in relation to the wheelchair frame to maintain optimum stability both for static and transit use. This vastly improves user confidence and makes movement safer and easier.
The Azalea can be customised with a wide range of options to improve posture, support and ease of use, including:
- Electrically controlled tilt and recline
- Backrest plate
- Postural support cushions
- Tension backrest with adjustable tension straps
- Self-propelling rear wheels
